The Golden Threads Studio is Owned by Ali Ritter-Ries.

 

A lover of all things fiber from those tiny crimps and curls to eclectic art yarns to woven textiles and needlecrafts. Her love started from a rescued Angora Goat, learning how to process the gorgeous fleece with primitive tools. Over the years, her passion for fiber grew. She was and still is constantly on the search for small farmers with excellent spinners flocks.

Ali loves being able to buy fleeces from small farms. She feels that instead of her raising her own sheep she could help other shepherdesses out there who already have established flocks. In this way, she could procure many more breeds and species than she could ever hope to raise on her small farm.

The name "The Golden Threads" is inspired by the Greek Myths of the Muses and the threads of life all woven together and inter connected. We are all connected by the thread of life. The Golden Threads that tie us all together in this life and in the next.
